Dr. Charla R. Fischer, Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery and Dr. Francis Y. Lee, Professor with Tenure and Vice Chair of Research received an NIH Research Supplements award to promote Diversity in Health-Related Research.  Dr. Fischer is a practicing spine surgeon with a particular interest in treating the aging spine.  This interest has led her to study bone biology related to osteoclastogenesis and osteolysis.  Dr. Fischer is mentored by Dr.
