| Dr.
Benjamin Roye joins the world renown team of pediatric orthopedic
surgeons at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian
after serving as Chief of the Pediatric Orthopedic Division of Mount
Sinai School of Medicine for almost three years. Also Assistant
Professor of Orthopedics during his tenure at Mount Sinai, he was
responsible for the development of resident training programs.
Dr.
Roye is a graduate of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of
Columbia University and completed his orthopedic residency through
the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University at
New York Orthopedic Hospital, during which time he earned the Harrison
L. McLaughlin Trauma Award. He is fellowship trained in Pediatric
Orthopedics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he
advanced his interest in the treatment of scoliosis and club foot.
He completed his undergraduate work at Hamilton College in New York
State .
In
addition to his medical training, Dr. Roye completed his Masters
in Public Health from the Columbia University Mailman School of
Public Health. Dr. Roye's research interests include quality of
life issues for children with musculoskeletal concerns, and he has
participated in several research studies with the MSCHONY Pediatric
Orthopedic Research Group. He has authored peer-reviewed articles,
written chapters for text books, and provided editorial review for
hundreds of consumer articles on bone health and sports-related
injuries.
