Joshua E. Hyman, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and an Associate Attending at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia Campus). Dr. Hyman did his orthopedic surgical training at Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Hyman specializes in pediatric orthopedic surgery. His areas of clinical interest include hip disease and dysplasia, complex pediatric spinal disorders (scoliosis), limb lengthening and deformity, club foot and other foot deformities, cerebral palsy and neuromuscular disease, fractures and sports injuries. He is the Director of the Pediatric Orthopedic Trauma Service. Dr. Hyman's area of research focuses on methods of measuring quality of life in children. In addition, he is actively involved in research trials on clubfoot, scoliosis and neuromuscular diseases in children. His research has won awards both nationally and internationally.
