Dr. Jeffrey A. Geller Elected to The Knee Society

Columbia Orthopedics is delighted to announce that Jeffrey A. Geller, MD has been elected as an Active Member of The Knee Society, in recognition of his decades of groundbreaking work in treating and researching knee disorders. Appointment into The Knee Society is one of the highest honors for orthopedic surgeons specializing in knee replacement & reconstruction. Members can only be voted in by top leaders in the field.

The Knee Society is comprised of recognized thought leaders in the field of knee surgery and promotes outstanding care to patients with knee disorders through innovative research and education. Dr. Geller will be recognized as a new member at the society’s Members Dinner on March 9 and he will participate at the 2018 Open Meeting of The Knee Society/AAHKS on March 10.

Dr. Geller serves NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center as Chief of the Division of Hip & Knee Reconstruction, Nas S. Eftekhar Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, and Director of Research at the Center for Hip & Knee Replacement. In addition, he serves as Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY.

A nationally recognized leader in the non-operative and operative treatment of arthritic disorders of the hip and knee, Dr. Geller has extensive experience utilizing some of the latest and most advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques available. In addition to primary joint replacement surgery, Dr. Geller has particular interest in revisions of failed or painful joint replacements. He also specializes in trauma of the lower extremity including hip fractures, fractures around joint replacements, and fractures related to osteoporosis.
