Drs. Lawrence Lenke and Michael Vitale Speak at Global Spine Outreach Symposium

Columbia Orthopedics Chief, Spine Division Lawrence G. Lenke, MD and Chief, Pediatric Spine and Scoliosis Service Michael G. Vitale, MD, MPH spoke at the Global Spine Outreach Spinal Deformity Symposium in Mexico City on October 28.

Dr. Lenke was the keynote speaker and also discussed “Classification of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis,” “Neuromonitoring: Algorithm for Monitoring Changes,” “Vertebral Column Resection,” and “Advanced 3-Column Osteotomies.” In addition, he was on a panel to discuss Child Spinal Deformity along with Dr. Vitale, Case Presentations, and Adult Spinal Deformity.

Dr. Vitale discussed “Surgical Strategies and Techniques for Treating Early Onset Scoliosis: An Update,” “Landing Safely Every Time: Lessons Learned from Aviation,” and “Early Onset Techniques.”
