Rotator Cuff Repair

Jaiver Cifuentes

I am writing to express my appreciation for your compassionate care and surgical expertise. As a paraplegic and a Human Anatomy and Physiology teacher in New York City, I use a manual wheelchair and put stress on my shoulders constantly. In my daily classroom activities, I propel my chair and lift my body, therefore my shoulders finally deteriorated. One lucky day, I came to see you. For the next two years, I battled pain in my right shoulder with injections and physical therapy because of my fear to have surgery. Finally, we agreed that I could no longer go without a rotator cuff repair. I had the procedure in July, and eight weeks later after an arduous physical therapy, I saw myself wheeling my chair back to my classroom, and am able to transfer back and forth from the car.

I am a living testimony to the fact that following your recommendations, and working hard with my therapist, I made rapid strides towards regaining my independence. Many thanks to you Dr. Jobin, and your miracle fingers. I want to express my feelings of happiness, and my gratitude to how I was treated by you and your staff. I would not hesitate to recommend your skilled care to other people who are in pain.

With all my respect and admiration, I would like to sincerely thank you.
