Maximizing the Fellowship Experience

In collaboration with 2017 Shoulder, Elbow & Sports Medicine Fellows, Brian Shiu, MD, and Djuro Petkovic, Drs. Levine and Ahmad published an article in JAAOS outlining a framework for maximizing surgical skill acquisition during fellowship training. Read the full article here.

Author of two aclaimed books, Skill and Understanding Tommy John Surgery and How to Avoid It, Dr. Christipher Ahmad lectures all over the country on skill development for elite performers and Tommy John injury prevention.

 

Team Physician for USA Hockey (U17)

This past December, Dr. T. Sean Lynch served as Team Physician for the winning US Under 17 National Hockey Team at the 4 Nations Tournament in Veliky Novgorod, Russia. The team competed against Slovakia, Switzerland, and Russia. The US went on to win the tournament, beating the Russian National Team 2-1 in an overtime shootout.

 

National Thought Leadership - Hip Arthroscopy

Dr. T. Sean Lynch was recently invited to serve on the faculty for the 2018 Vail Hip Symposium. There were over 100 participants from 13 countries at the conference. Dr. Lynch's lecture focused on clinical guidelines for hip arthroscopy, and he also led participants in lab demonstrations on the latest hip arthroscopy techniques - including labral repair and reconstruction.

In collaboration with our faculty, and as part of our focus on surgical skill development, fellows continue to produce a growing library of surgical demonstration videos for the orthopedic community.
