| UNDUE
STRESS/CONFIDENTIAL COUNSELING
If any
resident experiences undue stress, whether professional or personal,
he or she is encouraged to discuss this with the Chief residents,
who will act as advocates. Any discussions will be STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.
If appropriate, the Residency Director will be invited to assist.
If “undue stress” is found to consistently impact personal well-being
or patient care, the resident experiencing “undue stress” will be
excused from normal daily duties at the discretion of the Chairman
or Residency Director.
However,
if any resident feels that they would like confidential counseling
outside the department, please try first to reach *Maria Cleary
Guida*, adminstrative assistant to Dr. David Kahn: *212-305-2967*.
She will then contact either Dr. Laurel Mayer or Bret Rutherford.
However, if you are unable to get immediate attention please call:
Laurel Mayer, MD or
Bret Rutherford, MD
