Program Description & Objectives

Experts from Columbia University's Division of Pediatric Orthopedics and visiting lecturers will share best practices and updates on state-of-the-art treatments for a broad spectrum of pediatric spine disorders. Lectures and interactive sessions will cover topics related to spinal deformity, spine care in the primary care setting, spine health in young athletes, and managing back pain. 

This program is designed for healthcare providers treating the Pediatric population. Pediatricians, Family Practitioners, Orthopedic Surgeons, Physiatrists, Nurse practitioners, Physician Assistants, Physical Therapists, and Athletic Trainers are encouraged to attend. 

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to:

  • Understand the current literature and latest information on pediatric spine and scoliosis conditions
  • Know when to worry and when to refer a patient to a pediatric orthopedic specialist
  • Treat certain pediatric orthopedic spine conditions in the primary care setting
