Current Concepts in Football Sideline Management 2021

This course is designed to educate all who participate in football injury recovery, such as certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, emergency medical service providers, and physicians by offering a comprehensive review of cutting-edge concepts and techniques for managing football athletes on the sidelines. Lectures providing keys to success alongside hands-on demonstration will be essential in preparing course participants to:

• Understand how the specialization of sport in regards to the pandemic is affecting injury
• Confidently implement the most current concepts in evaluation and management of suspected concussion on the sidelines
• Improve communication, assessment, and stabilization techniques for spine boarding athletes
• Diagnose and efficiently treat acute vs. overuse injuries on the sideline
• Implement Emergency Action Plans
• Recognize and understand post COVID cardiac conditions in athletes along with proper screening techniques
• Be prepared for sideline emergencies according to NATA 2021 updated standards

This course will be of interest to certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, coaches, emergency medical service providers, and physicians who care for football athletes.

This program will be presented outdoors & on-field at the Baker Athletic Complex at the Robertson Field at Satow Stadium (Baseball Field).
