Virtual Interviews
All applicants will be notified of their application status via e-mail. Selected candidates will be invited, depending on Pandemic situation for In-Person and/or Virtual interviews due to recommendations by the CORD, Columbia/NYP, and state guidelines. A virtual and/or in-person social gathering will be arranged for the night before interview day so that you will have an opportunity to socially meet with all our residents.
Interviews are typically held on a weekend in early January. During the interview day, you will meet the chair, program directors, faculty physicians, and residents. Typically there will be 5 to 6 interview rooms which range from conversations, research, and other focused themes. Applicants will have ample opportunity throughout the interview day to meet (in-person or virtually) with the residents “behind closed doors” and have their questions answered candidly.
